This
Code of Conduct covers your behavior as a member of the IPFC Community, in any
thread, public meeting or private correspondence (related to IPFC). The IPFC
Community Council will arbitrate in any dispute over the conduct of a member of
the community.
Section I: Be considerate. Your post/s will be read by other people. Any
decision you take will affect members, and we expect you to take those
consequences into account when making decisions. For example, when a hatred
thread comes or any member posts something ridiculous please do not start a
counter thread or publish counter post. Please avoid to post on such thread.
Inform moderator on “Complaint Thread”. Moderator will take a proper action
about your complaint based on the seriousness of the complaint.
Section II: Be respectful. The IPFC community and its members treat one
another with respect. Everyone can make a valuable contribution to IPFC. We may
not always agree, but disagreement is no excuse for poor behavior and poor
manners. We might all experience some frustration now and then, but we can not
make frustration an excuse to attack any individual personally, religiously or
otherwise. It’s important to remember that a community where people feel
uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one. We expect members of the
IPFC community to be respectful when dealing with other contributors as well as
with people outside the IPFC community and with members of IPFC.
Section
III: Be collaborative. IPFC is all about Indo-Pak friendship, collaboration and
working together. You should aim to collaborate with other IPFC members, as
well as with the IPFC community that is interested in the post/s you do. Your
post/s should be done transparently. You are free to post on any thread (which
are not requested for deletion) at community, at least keep those threads get
consensus from moderator or even from your colleagues about the correct
implementation of an idea, so don’t feel obliged to have that agreement before
you begin, and publish your post/s in a way that allows outsiders to test,
discuss and contribute to your efforts.
Section IV: When you disagree, consult others. Disagreements, both political and
ideological, happen all the time and the IPFC community is no exception. The
important goal is not to avoid disagreements or differing views but to resolve
them constructively. You should turn to the community and to the community
process to seek advice and to resolve disagreements. We have the Technical
Board and the Community Council, both of which will help to decide the right
course for IPFC. There are also several communities related with the same
agenda of IPFC. If you really want to go a different way, then we encourage you
to make a derivative community or join alternative set communities available
related to Indo-Pak relationship, so that the other communities too can try out
your ideas for itself and you may contribute to the discussion there.
Section V: When you are unsure, ask for help. Nobody knows
everything, and nobody is expected to be perfect in the IPFC community. Asking
questions avoids many problems down the road, and so questions are encouraged.
Those who are asked should be responsive and helpful. However, when asking a
question, care must be taken to do so in an appropriate thread. Off-topic
questions detract from productive discussion.
Section VI: Step down considerately.
Members on every community come and go and IPFC is no different. When you leave
or disengage from the community, in whole or in part, we request that you do so
in a way that minimizes disruption to the community. This means you should tell
people (Moderator, your friends at IPFC) you are leaving and take the proper steps
to ensure that there should not be a dispute after you leave the community
